I always thought that if you voted early then your vote didn't count. I love going on Election Day. I love waiting in line, picking my booth, going over the ballot three or four times to make sure I really am voting for the right candidate, and getting a sticker.

But, since I'm working the polls this year, I voted early. Dude, did you know that every votes early? All this time, I didn't know! I took a friend of mine with me and it was her first time to vote. She was super excited and I was excited for her. Voting is a right, but it's also a privilege. Aside from getting a tattoo and being able to buy porn, the best thing about turning 18 for me was being able to vote. There are so many people, especially women who can't vote so, and I know this sounds cheesy, but I wear that "I voted" sticker with pride.

This is also the first time I've been SO excited about a candidate...it's just too bad I live in Texas and the electoral college still exists.

Maybe I'll move to a blue state.
