the "world famous" argentinian soccer team jersey. we were watching them play usa the other night and i merely asked, "are we the white team or the blue team?"
which of course was not received with any sarcasm at all, but with a gentle yet thorough explanation to make sure i understood.
which of course i followed up with "where's david beckam?"
i think it was at this point david turned off the tv and walked out of the room.

sorry cuz, the argentinian blue and white jerseys are in fact, world famous. the striped jerseys are as ubiquitous in world soccer as brazil's bright yellow jerseys or italy's dark (but not quite navy) blue ones.
i don't know a lot about soccer, but i even knew this. with the euro cup and world cup qualifiers going on right now, no matter where i go in my house it's all that's on in every room - tv, computer, etc etc.
