what keeps us busy

yes, it has been a while since our last post. june 22 to be exact.
i'd like to say "we've been so busy!" what with baby 2 on the way, dave adding so much more to our house, being gone over the summer, starting school. . . .
but, c'mon let's be honest. i've been glued to my television. once again, i'd like to say "the katrina coverage has been riveting." or " have you been watching the senate hearings?" . . . .
but, since we're being honest. all i can say is tivo. not only does it keep me abreast on the happenings in the "big brother house", i have been able to relive all of "survivor" from season 1 until the newest guatemalan edition. i was able to catch up on all i missed from the original season of "the office" and was able to catch the even funnier bbc version. although no one does uncomfortable humor like steve carrel(sp). did i mention "blow out" ended this summer? and although there has been talk about my friends nick and jessica having problems, my other friends whitney and bobby took that torch and ran with it.
now, i realize you may be thinking, "monica, how do you have time to keep up with all your "friends". i mean a 3 year old, a house under construction etc. . . well, there in lies the magic of tivo. you see, my television doesn't get turned on until after 8 pm once crockett is in bed. i mean c'mon i don't want to raise a couch potato tv junkie.
so at about 8:01 my dual tuner tivo has all my "friends" lined up ready to go.
so, you see how could i possibly be expected to keep up a blog?
